Privacy Policy
What we collect
Account details: email, password (handled by our sign-in service), date of birth, optional profile details, and basic profile information if you sign in with Apple or Google.
Content you create: posts, messages, uploads, voice messages, tutor session chats, ratings and reports.
Device and usage details, search queries, and a notification token so we can send notifications you asked for. A city or region only if you choose to add it. Contacts only if you choose contact sync, and phone numbers are hashed before matching.
How we use it
To run and personalize UniMo, recommend learning resources, people and opportunities, send notifications you asked for, keep the community safe, prevent abuse, enforce our rules (including with automated moderation), and improve the app.
We do not sell your data.
Safety records
We keep reports, blocks, suspensions and appeals for as long as needed to protect members and enforce our rules, even after the content itself is removed.
Age
We use your date of birth to give you age-appropriate features. Some features, such as Own Tutor, are for adults only. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us.
How long we keep it
Stories expire after 24 hours. Messages and content stay until you delete them or delete your account.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile and content as set out in the app, apart from limited records we need for safety or the law.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, choose who sees your profile and activity, manage notifications, clear your AI learning memory, and delete your account in Settings. You can also contact us about your data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access controls protect it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and never share it.
Changes
We will update this policy when UniMo changes and tell you in the app about important changes.
